The sustainability report for SMEs

With the VSME standard, meet the requirements of banks and large corporations with a professional, streamlined report, free of unnecessary complications.

VSME

What is VSME: sustainability reporting for SMEs

VSME is the voluntary reporting standard developed by EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group), specifically dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises. As the word “Voluntary” suggests, it is an optional report; however, we strongly recommend adopting it for the following reasons:

  • Supply chain pressure: if you have large-scale clients (subject to CSRD), they require your data to complete their own sustainability reports.
  • Access to Finance: banks offer better credit terms to companies with a clear ESG profile. With a VSME report, your rating improves.
  • Strategic simplicity: it is a “light” version of more complex reporting frameworks. Less bureaucracy, more substance.

How it works: basic and full modules

The VSME structure is modular, designed to adapt to your company’s specific need:

  • Basic module: provides a set of essential indicators to begin reporting key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) information, featuring targeted and calibrated requirements.
  • Full module (optional): expands ESG reporting with more detailed indicators regarding sustainable strategy, climate targets and resource management.
